We’ve been up for almost three months now and thought it’s time to give you an update on the more exciting things that have been happening on TravelJournal lately.
First, we couldn’t be more satisfied with the beta launch.
There were a very few minor issues with the system and we’ve got great feedback from our users and also nice coverage from the media.
KillerStartups thinks we are:
“…so intuitive to use that it is fair to say it can become a reliable companion for modern adventurers of every kind.”
Techie Buzz states that:
“TravelJournal is the right platform to start documenting your travel experiences.”
and Tnooz featured an interview with the TravelJournal founders and believe we should get:
“100% for extreme levels of confidence, if nothing else!”
All in all, things look great and we’re already working hard on the next revision of TravelJournal, which will include many useful new features, an overall face-lift (yes, gorgeous is getting even more gorgeous…) and other improvements to some existing features based on your feedback.
We expect to release the new version in the following few weeks so be sure to stay tuned.

We know it has been a while but finally we are releasing the very first version of TravelJournal and we hope you’ll like what you see.
We are pleased to present you with the latest, most advanced online authoring and publishing platform for travel writing. On TravelJournal you’ll find elegant and intuitive tools, up to the moment geo-related information, plenty of useful resources and the professional and experienced community you’ve been looking for – all in a state of the art and fun environment created specifically for travelers.
We’re still in beta and there are many more features that are under development such as video, mobile access, itineraries and budget planning to name just a few, but we decided to release what we have now to get your feedback and start building the community.

If you’re curious or simply wondering what “TravelJournal” is all about, allow us to ask for your patience just a little bit longer. We are working mercilessly on finalizing the core features for our first Alpha release, which (hopefully) will be ready for launch in the very near future.
Travel sites have been around the web since the dawn of the Internet, but TravelJournal is not intended to be “just another travel site”, a dime a dozen… TravelJournal will become your perfect travel companion, wherever you are.
We sincerely believe the somewhat-simple concept behind TravelJournal has the potential to revolutionize travel experience for any modern adventurer, be it first-time travelers, seasoned explorers or experienced traveling writers.
We apologize for not being able to elaborate more about what’s behind the curtain at this point (for obvious reasons), but we can assure you — you won’t be disappointed!
