As some of you may have already noticed, yesterday we released a new TravelJournal version. There are many new exciting features and improvements included, and we’d like to outline a few of them:

• We added extensive travel guides for popular destinations on the globe, featuring useful travel related information such as: culture, climate, attractions, things to do, see & buy and visa and other requirements.

• We enriched our content with more than one hundred thousand hotels from all over the world, along with general hotel information, ratings, amenities, nearby attractions, driving directions, photos and more!

• We integrated TravelJournal with Facebook so new users can instantly signup with their Facebook account.

• We created a brand new explore page and made improvements to your profile page.

• We’ve launched a new revenue-sharing program for professional writers.

• We’ve done hundreds of fixes, changes and tweaks, big and small, and dozens of improvements to provide you with a better, faster and more stable environment to work in.

We are really proud and excited about this new version of TravelJournal and confident you’ll like it as well.

It’s a big day for TravelJournal today.

Today we are launching the first and major part of the official TravelJournal public release. We’ve decided to do this in two stages in order to address many of your requests earlier and to give you a sneak pick of what’s coming up in the next few months.

We hope that you will like the new features and look. We’re working hard to make your experience better and more enjoyable.

We’ve been up for almost three months now and thought it’s time to give you an update on the more exciting things that have been happening on TravelJournal lately.

First, we couldn’t be more satisfied with the beta launch.

There were a very few minor issues with the system and we’ve got great feedback from our users and also nice coverage from the media.

KillerStartups thinks we are:

“…so intuitive to use that it is fair to say it can become a reliable companion for modern adventurers of every kind.”

Techie Buzz states that:

“TravelJournal is the right platform to start documenting your travel experiences.”

and Tnooz featured an interview with the TravelJournal founders and believe we should get:

All in all, things look great and we’re already working hard on the next revision of TravelJournal, which will include many useful new features, an overall face-lift (yes, gorgeous is getting even more gorgeous…) and other improvements to some existing features based on your feedback.

We expect to release the new version in the following few weeks so be sure to stay tuned.
